Syokimau is an affluent residential area in Machakos County just South of Nairobi along the Nairobi Mombasa Highway and very adjacent to the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport. The Town was named after a famous Kamba Prophetess Syokimau. Syokimau can be accessed from the Nairobi CBD via the Railway and road transport System. The main road to Syokimau is the Nairobi Mombasa highway. The town is also the terminal for the standard gauge railway from Mombasa. Syokimau offers serene residential environment free from the city hustles and is a good location for home owners.
Syokimau has the gateway mall where shopping outlets, banks restaurant clinics and many more can be accessed. From Syokimau the Nairobi National park which is only 10kms away can be easily accessed providing a good recreational facility for tourists.
